As a person receiving public mental health services you have the right to:
- Be treated with dignity and respect.
- Help develop a plan of care and services which meet your
needs.
- Refuse any proposed treatment.
- Receive care which does not discriminate against you, and
is sensitive to your sex, race, national origin, language, age,
disability, or sexual preference.
- Review your care record.
- Receive an explanation of all medications prescribed,
including effects and possible side effects.
- Confidentiality.
- Review an agency's grievance policy.
- Lodge a complaint or grievance with the Ombudsperson, the
Chelan-Douglas Regional Support Network, or Provider if you believe your
rights have been violated.
- Be free of retaliation or the threat of retaliation.
