Residential Services
Transitional Housing and Residential Services for mental health recipients is available through the Columbia Valley Community Health Behavioral Health Services. These services provide a place to live while the consumer begins the process of integrating back into the community and independent living. Christopher House is a care facility that the CDRSN contracts with and is designed to help those unable to live alone. This facility serves individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities who need assistance while developing independent living skills. The Christopher House also provides education and recreation activities 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Therapeutic Foster Care is a specialized foster-care program that blends the strengths of trained foster parent with the skills of Children’s Home Society of Washington professionals to provide a therapeutic environment for emotionally/behaviorally troubled children and teens and their family. Intensive intervention in the family’s early stage of crisis is intended to facilitate the child’s return home and avert out-of-home placement. Sudden Respite in a Therapeutic Foster Care home is available should a trouble child require immediate placement in an alternative residence.
