"Recovery in Action"

The Promise Club staff work with you to support you in enhancing your self-empowerment skills and support your recovery. Through various activities, you will learn how to reach for what you want with a hand up, not with a hand out. You will learn to become more self efficient, self-reliant and gain more self confident while learning life skills through training. Be with others while you practice recovery and who have the same goals in common. The staff will listen to your needs and provide information based on topics of interest to you. The clubhouse provides a confidential, safe, drug and alcohol free environment and what you do and say, stay at the club.

Become a house member

• Don’t sit home alone any more. Come and meet new people and make new friends.
• Come and talk with others who have experienced a mental illness.
• Come in and further your education or prepare for your GED.
• Find out what your rights are as a public mental health consumer.
• Learn from others how to navigate through the public mental health care system.
• Come to a place that is warm, caring and friendly.
• Share your stories and experiences with others, become a mentor to others.
• Learn ways that you can make a difference in your life.
• Join in adult activities social and recreational.
• Try your hand at an art or craft project.
• Learn the basics of a computer.
• Take advantage of the free ride to and from the Food Bank.
• Play ping pong, listen to music or read a book.
• Get on the computer and work a tutorial and access the Internet and/or email.
• Join in with others for a movie and popcorn afternoon.
