Catholic Family and Child Service is licensed by the State of Washington
to provide mental health services. The staff strives to assist
children and families in solving personal problems while developing skills
which help each member function better in day-to-day life.

The Chelan/Douglas Branch of Catholic Family and Child Service has been
extending a helping hand to families of all faiths and stages of life since
1956.
CFCS is a branch of the Diocese of
Yakima.
The dedicated staff, with the guidance
of a Voluntary Advisory Board, provide many innovative programs to families
living in Central Washington. All services are offered in English and
Spanish.
CFCS is committed to working with
agencies and groups in the community to assure families receive the best
assistance possible.
Child Care Resource & Referral
Resource and Referral is committed to insuring high quality community
based child care for all families by:

Providing information on choosing
child care and names of licensed providers to families

Providing training and technical
assistance for child care providers

Support community efforts to ensure
quality child care for all children.
Seasonal Child Care

Seasonal Child Care offers subsidized
child care in licensed child care settings for children of low income
agricultural workers.

Recruits, trains and monitors
licensed child care providers.

Assists families in the selection of
quality child care.
Volunteer Chore Service
-
VCS is a network of individuals and
groups who volunteer to provide low-income elders and adults with
disabilities with the support they need to continue living with dignity in
their own homes.

Minor home repairs

Light meal preparation

Snow shoveling

Office assistance

Volunteers may work individually or
in a group and are scheduled according to their wishes.
Family Preservation Service and
Intensive Family
Preservation Service
-
Provides intensive case management
aimed at children and families with extensive needs.

A team of mental health therapists
and paraprofessionals work together to develop a plan which strengthens
the family and enables the child to continue to live in the home.
Counseling and Case Management

Provides low income/Medicaid families
with therapy and/or case management services

Utilizing consumer voice, establishes
appropriate treatment plans which engage entire family

Provides services in the least
restrictive settings such as home, schools, parks, etc.
Child and Family Therapy
Support
Groups
-
Padres Unidos, is a support group for
Spanish speaking families which offers a variety of unique parenting
skills.

Anger Management is a court approved
program for Spanish speaking individuals that builds skills designed to
help overcome anger and domestic violence issues.
